Vol. 68

Editor’s Note

Serving as the Editor-in-Chief for Volume 68 of the Monmouth Review has been an incredibly rewarding and inspiring experience. I am thrilled to have been a part of maintaining the magazine’s long-standing commitment to representing the diverse and profound creativity of our student body across the creative arts. Without the hard work and dedication of our Editorial Board and Club, this issue would not be possible, so I would like to thank Dan Martin, President and Lead Designer; Veronique Manfredini, Vice President and Prose Editor; Dorothy Doyle, Poetry Editor; Breanna K. Guinta, Treasurer and Assistant Editor; Morgan Kelly, Kia Ambrose, Timothy Pakrad, and Jacqueline Collo, Assistant Editors, for all of their time and contributions. I am incredibly proud of this team that has consistently impressed me with their efforts.

I must also thank each student who entrusted us with their submissions and worked with our team throughout the editorial process. Your creations were heartfelt, passionate, compelling, thought-provoking, and a reminder that Monmouth is filled with astonishing talent! So, thank you to everyone who submitted, as well as to those who joined us throughout the year in workshops and club events—your involvement fulfills our mission. And of course, thank you to our advisors, Mihaela Moscaliuc and Mike Richison, whose support and dedication continually motivate us in producing the best magazine possible. With that, I have to thank you all—our readers. To be seen is to be heard, and so your attention to the creative labors of the authors and artists in this magazine is more valuable than you know. We hope you enjoy this latest issue, we certainly enjoyed the process of compiling it for you!

President’s Note

It has been a pleasure to be President of the Monmouth Review for the first time, something that has been an excellent experience thus far. I am grateful to the former President, Madyson Lagotta, who brought me on originally as an assistant editor and helped me navigate through it all. I am also thankful for my fellow editorial board members for their incredible dedication and hard work they have given to the club. What a privilege, to play a part in sharing people’s creations with the world. Our world needs more people brave enough to be themselves through their art. Keep on submitting, let your talents shine, and I hope to continue being President and Lead Designer of the wonderful Monmouth Review.
